The construction industry is responsible for 23% of global pollutant emissions. Each year, machines powered by internal combustion engines generate 1.84 billion tons of CO2, i.e. 6% of global emissions, directly on construction sites. The report presents the needs, recommendations and recommendations for the industry and legislation in order to implement the necessary changes in the specialist machinery sector (NRMM – non-road mobile machinery) as quickly as possible and adapt them to the concept of zero-emission cities, and thus make a real contribution to improving the quality of air and life of its inhabitants.
