Free test drives of the latest electric cars, attractions for the whole family, and an open-air cinema and EV Light Show in the evening — tomorrow, the market square at Łódź’s Manufaktura shopping and entertainment centre will be transformed into a vibrant new mobility festival.
This is another edition of the largest event promoting electromobility, giving residents of Polish cities the opportunity not only to discover the benefits of zero-emission transport, but also to experience the capabilities of electric cars first-hand during test drives on city streets.
What better way to discover what electromobility is really all about than to get behind the wheel? In Łódź, visitors can do just that. Instead of a conventional indoor exhibition hall, the organisers are setting up a dedicated event space in the heart of the city, right next to the cafés, shops and carousel in Manufaktura’s market square. The idea is simple: to show that zero-emission mobility is not a distant vision, but a solution available today. All you need to do is get into an electric car of your choice, take it onto the city streets and experience zero-emission driving for yourself.
A Major Urban Electric Car Test Drive Event
A spacious SUV, an executive saloon or perhaps a nimble, dynamic hatchback? Visitors will be able to choose from 25 car models, ranging from small city cars and SUVs to family vehicles and commercial vans. The line-up will include the BYD Dolphin Surf, Atto 2 and Sealion 7; the Tesla Model Y and Model 3; the Nissan Micra; the Ford Explorer, Capri, Puma and E-Transit Courier; the Renault 4 and 5 E-Tech, as well as the Kangoo Van E-Tech; the Volkswagen ID. BUZZ and ID.3 Neo; and new models from Chinese and Japanese brands, including Maxus, the Mazda 6e, Subaru Solterra and Uncharted, GAC V and UT, and Exlantix ES and ET.
“We have been developing the New Mobility Experience concept for years. We have always believed that people become convinced of the benefits of electric vehicles not by reading a model brochure, but by experiencing those benefits behind the wheel. That is why we want the people of Łódź to do more than simply look at electromobility through a window: we want them to get behind the wheel, drive onto the streets and discover what an electric car is like to drive. However, new mobility is about much more than cars. Alongside the test drives, we have therefore prepared safety zones, active mobility activities, simulators and attractions for the whole family,” says Aleksander Rajch, Member of the Management Board of PSNM.
Visitors can choose between two routes through the streets of Łódź: a shorter route of approximately 2.9 km and a longer one covering 6.4 km. Every drive takes place under the supervision of an instructor seated in the passenger seat. All you need to do is complete a short registration form, either on-site or online, and set off into the city.
Starting point: Manufaktura market square, car park accessible from Zachodnia Street.

More Than Cars – Activities for the Whole Family
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a wide range of themed activity zones. On Saturday (22 August), the EXPO zone will showcase the latest EV models and offer an opportunity to compare solutions from different manufacturers. The safety and education zone will feature a road safety town, rollover and crash simulators, a reaction-time tester, and a rescue demonstration.
Families with children can look forward to a race track, a rope course, bubbles, face painting and organised activities. Racing simulators will also be available, giving visitors the chance to compete against Polish rally champion Miko Marczyk.
“Electric car owners from all over Poland will be gathering in Łódź. Our community already has more than 16,000 members. This is a unique opportunity for residents interested in electromobility to ask experienced EV users about real-world driving range, charging costs and everyday use. A test drive and a conversation with EV owners can dispel more doubts than dozens of articles,” emphasises Łukasz Lewandowski, President of the EV Klub Polska Foundation.

In the Evening: EV Light Show and Open-Air Cinema Under the Stars
After dark, the event will take on a whole new atmosphere. At 8:00 p.m., the EV Light Show will begin — Poland’s largest synchronised audiovisual display, featuring more than 100 electric cars lighting up in time with the music. Half an hour later, at 8:30 p.m., the open-air cinema will get underway. The screening will feature Our Place on Earth, an award-winning documentary that captivates audiences not only with its moving story, but also with its exceptional cinematography and atmosphere.
Experience It First-Hand — Completely Free of Charge
From hands-on technology experiences to spending time together, last year’s edition attracted around 40,000 visitors, demonstrating the appeal of the “come, get in and take a drive” concept. Everyone can get behind the wheel of an electric car and drive through the city, talk to an EV owner, try the simulators, learn about safety, enjoy activities for the whole family, and experience the audiovisual show and outdoor film screening.
The event is free and open to everyone who wants to discover modern, zero-emission mobility in practice.
Media representatives are invited to cover the event. Test drives for journalists and interviews with experts from PSNM and EV Klub Polska can be arranged on-site. For accreditation, please contact the press office.
